HR Professional with over 15 years of experience in Human Resources Management, specializing in employee relations and strategic initiatives. Laikeya is a goal-focused and driven leader who delivers solutions to help companies home in on their most valuable assets: She is dedicated to empowering and developing people leaders to realize their full potential and lead with confidence.

Having started a career in the non-profit sector in 2007, where she managed the HR functions and created and implemented some of the organization’s best practices including their first handbook. Laikeya spent 7 years in this servant leader-centric role where she continued to supported the organization until she went back to school and got her Master of Human Resources Management.

In 2012, she went on to start SimplyHR Consulting Firm located in the Keystone at the Crossing area where she served small to mid-sized organizations, assisting them in the growth and development of their people as well as implementing and improving the current HR infrastructure.

After some amazing growth, SimplyHR relocated to downtown Indianapolis. During this tenure, Laikeya served in several leadership capacities for her clients, such as HR Consultant, HR Manager, HR Director, and served on several boards such as Friendship Westside Center for Excellence, formerly the old Boys and Girls Club, and as a Retention Committee Member for the Skyline Club.

After 5 years in the consulting arena, she went back into the workforce after receiving an offer to come in as the HR Director for one of the largest long-term care networks in the Midwest. Cardon and Associates. While in this role, she increased headcount by 30%, improved employee morale, and decreased employee relations issues by 20%. Between 2017 and 2022, Laikeya served as the HR Director for Ivy Tech Community College Indianapolis.

Some of her most notable highlights while in this role included the campus’s first HR Strategic Plan, serving as the Diversity, Equity, and Belonging Strategic Lead for 2 consecutive terms and creating an employee relations toolkit. Since then, Laikeya has gone on to become the Global HR Director for Entegra Solutions. Her goals of connecting business objectives with HR Strategy have yielded an increase in compliance, employee development, and several strategic initiatives which have helped improve Entegra’s bottom line.

In her spare time, Laikeya continues to speak and mentor young HR professionals, speaks at different conferences, The and continues to teach her craft. She has taught in several areas of education such as Employment Law, Business Communication, Human Resources Management.
